Hi My name is Oz Hunter and I have worked in the car audio industry for the past 25 years, I have worked on most makes and models of vehicles over the years, i am based in Peterborough Uk and have a real passion for sound.
As vehicles have progressed, particularly over the past ten years, the audio has become better within modern vehicles and for a lot of people is “good enough”.
I don’t subscribe to that view as my car has always been the place I listen to the majority of my music, there is often no one else to tell me what to listen to, or to turn it down, no neighbours to frustrate, just me and the road.
Around 5 years ago a Landrover Defender specialist approached me to proffesionaly sound deaden his vehicles. Whilst doing this I also began to design and install audio systems for their clients.
After looking around at what other people were doing I realised it could be far better than the best currently available, it was just a case of trying to think outside the box, choose the best equipment for that particular environment and install the kit in the best possible positions.
The process took me through a gamit of products until I was happy with the end result and I have been using the format ever since for the Landrover Defenders.
This also led me on to other more modern 4×4 vehicles with the realisation that you are often in your 4×4 for long periods of time for work or pleasure and I began to do the same for other vehicles hence the creation of 4×4 Audio.com
